This unit exceeded my expectations. Assembly was pretty intuitive and while it can be done with one someone a 2nd someone comes in handy at times. I bought this to store only Cds and you get sufficient shelves to outfit it thoroughly for their size. One big plus is that there is just sufficient clearance between the top of the Cds and the shelf above to accommodate the odd Cd that comes in a slightly odd or oversize case. When filled with Cds it was solid and carport and the shelves are robust sufficient to resist sagging under the weight. It is also deep sufficient so the Cds do not hang over the edges.
The only thing I think would enhance it would be to have a great backing board. The sections get tacked on with small nails and need to be positioned perfectly - another unit I have (which is far worse in every way than this unit) had pre-drilled holes and screws to attach its backing boards - this is a very minor thing though compared to it's uncut superiority this has in every other way to other units I checked out. While it is particle board the quit is pretty nice but obviously not real wood but real wood would more than duplicate the price.
